State funding for public schools
The crucial issue of school funding must be addressed by the State Legislature. There is a major lawsuit heading to the NH Supreme Court on whether the state is living up to its Constitutional duty to fund the public schools. 11 of the 20 towns in this district are plaintiffs in the lawsuit and another 3 towns send their children to high schools in towns that are plaintiffs. In other words, 70% of the public school students in District 8 are directly involved in the lawsuit. We need a State Senator who will represent the needs of our towns.
