<p>Tuesday, September 10th is the Primary Election in NH.  I hope you will excercise your right to vote and participate in the election.  I will vote early in the morning in my hometown of Weare, and then spend the day going to polling places in the towns throughout District #8.</p>

<p>If you have not already cast an absentee balllot in NH, I hope you will join me in voting on Election Day.  It is the foundation of our great democracy.  For myself, after voting in Weare in the morning, I will go to many of the polling places in Senate District 8 to stand and hold signs.</p>

<p><strong>The state should live up to its Constitutional duty to fund the public schools, which would have three benefits:</strong></p><p><strong>Education: </strong>Guarantee every child the opportunity for a great education</p><p><strong>Lower taxes: </strong>Provide local property tax relief</p><p><strong>Town services: </strong>Allow towns to fund other services like fire departments, roads, libraries and clean water.</p>

<h2>State funding for public schools </h2>

<p><strong><span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)">Reproductive freedom:</span><span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-secondary)"> </span></strong>The government should stay out of personal decisions about abortion, birth control, and IVF .</p><p><strong><span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)">LGBTQ+ rights: </span></strong>We should treat everyone equally and with respect in the eyes of the law.</p><p><strong><span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)">Voting rights: </span></strong>Voting is our most basic fundament right, upon which all our other rights stand, and should be protected.</p><p></p>

<h2>Individual Rights</h2>

I am running for State Senate in District 8 because I believe everyone should be heard.  We need elected officials who will work for reasonable solutions and who will listen to the concerns of the people.
